Doug Gregg had been on staff at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma for 11 years. During his last couple of years there, he felt God leading him to plant a new church. In the fall of 2006, God led him to plant a church in Owasso, Oklahoma.
In April of 2007, South Lakewood Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma voted to be Doug's sending church. Before long, God started to assemble a team of families who would sell homes and move to the city of Owasso to help in this effort. They began meeting on a monthly basis in the Gregg's home in Owasso.
On March 23, 2008, Lifepoint Baptist Chuch held its Grand Opening at the Owasso 6th Grade Center. Each week, new faces are present and it has been exciting to see God build this new church.
On June 29 2008, Lifepoint moved to its new location - the Owasso Ten Movie Theatre. This new location has offered us even greater opportunities to reach the community of Owasso.
